How To Use Your Chemical Kit
This is a simple step by step directions for the use of
your Leisure Time Chemicals. The first step starts with fresh water.
Please read the entire bottle before use of any spa chemicals. This is
just an outline to go by.
Step 1:
Test Strips
- test for Bromine, Chlorine, Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, and pH levels
in your spa water. The color levels should register in the ideal range
that is indicated for each. To use dip test strip in water make two
circles and remove (DO NOT SHAKE EXCESS WATER OFF). Match colors with the
appropriate chart on the back of the bottle. Adjust the levels
accordingly. Adjust the Alkalinity first then adjust the pH by using
Spa Up or
Spa Down. Then adjust the
Calcium level. To maintain spa chemistry test the water at least once (1)
a week and adjust chemicals as needed.
Step 2:
Metal Gon –
is a unique formulation of chelating or binding agents that will react
with any metal contaminants. Pour entire bottle around the perimeter of
the spa. Turn tub on in filter mode. Let the water circulate for 30
minutes.
Step 3:
pH Balance
– is a liquid formulation of buffers that eliminates the need to adjust
the calcium levels in addition to the pH. Pour entire bottle of pH Balance
per 500 gallons of water. Let water circulate for 5 minutes.
