The book, Pools & Spas, is good source for spa reviews that can be purchased for under $20. The book contains the basics of pool and spa chemicals, the merits of chlorine and bromine, as well as alternate methods for disinfecting your hot tub. There are pages on water problems, pH levels, calcium hardiness, total alkalinity, and total dissolved solids. There's also a section on how to fight algae buildup.

This book contains basic pool and spa safety for your family, including information on how to reduce hazardous conditions.  It also covers installing fencing and gates as safety precautions.
