How to remove Jacuzzi sealed pump

Took motor and pump assy. (4580000) to electric shop because motor stopped. Shop says motor shot but he can't get the pump off. He is trying to split the pump and says it seems glued together. I don't want to ruin the pump if not necessary. Do you have to split the pump or is it threaded on the motor or?

Yes the pump end is several parts. The face bolts to the back. The back of the pump is threaded to the motor. In the back of the motor there are four small nuts. Before you unthread them you have to remove the impeller. Most of the time if the impeller and the shaft seal need to be replaced along with the motor. If the impeller will not come off easily then you have to chisel it off.
