The hot tub has to be re-started every day or two. Then
everything works fine. In warm or hot weather it will run for a
month or more, now with cool weather it is every day again. It
is a Pacific (Aber) with Stealth circ pump, blt. 2001 The circ
pump is a Tiny Might. Any one ever have same problem? Thanks Ken

Post subject: need to re-start hot tub daily In the past we
have had the same problem with a couple of spas. What we found
was that the thermostat or the high limit "bulb" was not
insulated properly and collecting the wrong temp. To fix this
you need to follow the copper wire to the heater assembly or to
the shell of the spa. (not the ground wire) Make sure that it is
inserted into the well properly and you may have to use silicone
or electrical tape to help insulate it. Try this first if it
does not help then there may be a problem with the PC Board or
contactor. To help you see what the "bulb" look like go to the
following link. It should take to the web page that has a
picture of the thermostat. The high limit looks almost
identical.
