Flo-master CP hums

cp hums
hey, tub worked fine until I drained it in May, refilled it, now
the CP hums, then will trip breaker, someone said if I could
move shaft it might free??? I am NOT handy, so any help is
appreciated

Post subject: CP Pump Yes the temporary fix is to take the
cover plate off of the back of the motor and kick start the
shaft ( in the center of the back of the motor should be a slot
for a flathead screwdriver). The downfall is that by doing this
you are damaging the motor even more, and you will have to do
this every time the motor is needed for circulation. I would
suggest buying a new complete pump and motor. Kick starting it
may buy you a couple of months but that is about it.
