Post subject: how to get started With the power off fill the
spa, (if you have a thermostat dial turn it to the lowest
setting), when the water is above the jets turn the power on.
Wait about 2-5 minutes for the spa do "do it's own thing" after
the spa has pushed out any air bubbles and the pump seems to be
working properly turn the temperature back up. The pump should
engage in low speed. Place the cover back on the spa and wait
for the temp to come up. Check for leaks over the next 24 hours.
If the spa pumps, blowers, and heater function properly and you
found no leaks, then you can start with the chemicals. If there
is a problem with one of the functions post it and we can try to
figure it out together. At ezhottubs.com on the home page there
is an article about " How to use your chemical kit" Print that out
for reference. The chemicals you will need to get started are:
pH Balance, Metal Gon, Sodium Bromide ( you only need these when
you do a fresh fill, Minimum of 3 times per year), test strips,
Spa Up, Spa Down, Bromine, Oz, and Filter Clean. These chemicals
will get you up and running for 6-12 months. It may seem like a
lot but once you get the hang of it it really is easy to do. |
