Ozone for Jacuzzi

I just recently bought a used Jacuzzi hot tub which is about six years old. When I was in the process of purchasing I asked the previous owners if it had Ozone. They said no. When I got the hot tub home I opened the front panel to look inside. I found a cartridge like looking thing mounted to the frame, connected to a venturi type of tube and also connected to what I think may be the heater in an area marked ozone . The name on the cartridge is Pro Zone. Is this an ozonator? How does this particular one work? and do I ever have to replace the cartridge? Thanks for any help you give. Scott

Yes the Pro Zone is the ozonator. If the unit is 6 years old it needs to be replaced. Typically an ozone will drop its effectiveness by 50% after the first year and 50% each year after that. A replacement can be found on our website. Click on parts, then ozonators and the Pro Zone are the first ones to come up.
