issues
I have a Viking II 1999 model 220v, When I 1st connected it, the
temp went up to 100, since then it has dropped. I never see the
heat light go on, I changed the filter but to no avail. I hear
there is a pressure switch that might be causing the issue, or
the heating element. Does anyone know if I can put a voltage
tester on either one and see if there is any power going to it?
if so what voltage should be on it? Thanks in advance

To test the pressure switch turn the power to the spa off,
remove the two wires that are on the pressure switch. You will
need a piece of wire to put between the two leads you removed.
Once you have the wire in the leads make sure they are not
touching anything and turn the power back on to the spa. If it
heat you need a new switch. If not call a service company to
take a look at the pc board. Some of the spas that year do not
have a mechanical pressure switch. Look up part number 3209 if
you have a similar part in you pack the you are ok. If not then
it is a pc board sensor. |
