Spa Drain & Refill Procedures
|
Follow this procedure in the order listed.
Drain:
- Press the function button to turn the
high speed jets off if they
are on.
- Turn the thermostat off.
- Turn the power off at the main breaker.
- Drain the tub.
Refill:
- Fill the tub to it's normal operating level (a couple inches above
the filter minimum).
- Make sure the thermostat is all the way off.
- Tum the power on at the main breaker.
- The pump needs to be primed ASAP! (all the air needs to be cleaned
from the plumbing before the thermostat is turned up and left to
heat).
- Turn the pump on. Wait about 3 seconds and turn it off. Wait about
5 to 10 seconds and turn the thermostat on again.
Repeat step 2 until the water is circling above the
filter. It may
take about 10 minutes of repeating step 2 to clear the plumbing of air.
When all of the air is cleared from the plumbing, the water will be
circling above the filter area.
- Once all of the air is cleared and the water is circling, you may
turn the thermostat up to the desired temperature setting.
- Press the function button once to turn the high speed jets on. If no
water is moving, press the function button again and wait about 5
seconds. Press the function button again.
- Leave the high speed jets off when no one is using the hot tub.
- Repeat above step until the high speed water flow is normal (this
may take a few minutes).
Note:
* All of the air must be cleared from the plumbing before turning the
heat up and walking away.
* Severe heater and or
pump damage may occur if all of the air is not
cleared from the plumbing.
* A heater or pump failure due to improper pump priming (clearing all
of the air out of the plumbing) will not be covered under any warranty.
