How to Care for Your Hot Tub
Check Weekly:
Test the Ph and bromine. (Use
test strips or kit).
Check Monthly:
Remove and clean the filter with soap and water. Allow the filter to
soak overnight in Filter Clean
or similar product.
Miscellaneous:
When the water starts to get dirty from extended use,
drain the tub.
(Make sure the power is off)
-
Drain with a siphon from top of tub or from the spigot located in
equipment compartment. Be sure the water is completely drained from
the bottom of the tub. You may need to mop the remaining water left in
the base of the tub.
-
Clean the tub with Soft Scrub, or similar liquid cleanser.
(Note: some household cleaners can create excess suds, so be sure to
rinse thoroughly.) Be careful not to overdue the use of any cleansers,
as they can dull the finish of your acrylic if used to often or if
undue pressure is applied when cleaning. After using liquid cleanser
use Spa Fast Gloss to
restore the shine to the acrylic.
-
You are now ready to refill the tub. Make sure the power is off,
spigot is closed and the valves are open. Fill the tub to 1" on tile
(or minimum fill line, whichever is higher).
-
Turn the heat all the way down, turn on power and let the high jets
run until water flow is strong. Turn the heat to desired temperature.
Wait until tub is at desired temperature and enjoy! |
